Get to know LTS: The Digital Scholarship Team

The Digital Scholarship Team is part of the Library & Technology Services Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL). The team works with faculty and students in the use of digital tools and technologies that will enable them to develop and/or disseminate their course work and research. Examples of work include documentary audio and video, web sites, and spatial and data visualization.

The team is comprised of the following individuals:

Julia Maserjian – Digital Scholarship Manager. Julia builds partnerships with faculty to adapt existing or create new courses to accommodate student digital production. She works with faculty to advise on resources available to them for promotion of their research interests. She collaborates with a variety of stakeholders on campus in activities and events designed to increase interest and involvement in digital research, teaching, and projects on campus, at other universities, and with community organizations. Julia’s office is in the E.W. Fairchild Martindale Library (EWFM), room 521 (610-758-2635).

Scott Rutzmoser – Senior Geospatial Specialist. Scott provides consultation, training and support in spatial analysis and database management and geographical information systems (GIS) application development for faculty, students, LTS, and Facilities Services staff. Examples of his work include the community/campus interactive site, Still Looking for You, and the Lehigh Room Finder. Scott’s office is in EWFM room 523 (610-758-2944).

Rob Weidman – Senior Digital Scholarship Specialist. Rob works with faculty, students, and staff in the investigation, planning, implementation, promotion, testing, and assessment of technologies related to digital scholarship and projects. Examples of his work include his technical enhancements and integration for the Women of Bethlehem Steel and his faculty research and presentation partnership on The Vault at Pfaff’s. Rob’s office is in Linderman Library room 46 (610-758-3043).

Steve Lichak – Senior Media Production Specialist. Steve works with faculty, staff, and departments across campus in photography, video and audio recording, editing, duplication, and virtual reality productions. He provides support and instruction to classes in photography, video editing, recording, digitizing, and media streaming. He is responsible for many of the promotional and documentary videos produced for clients such as Zoellner Arts Center and the Alumni, Development and Community Outreach Offices. Steve’s office is located in the Digital Media Studio, E.W. Fairchild Martindale Library. (610-758-5023)

Jarret Brown –Media Production Specialist. Jarret consults with faculty, students, and staff to determine appropriate media needs. He provides support and instruction to classes in photography, video editing, recording, digitizing, and media streaming. Jarret brings decades of audio expertise to his position. He can be found in the Digital Media Studio, E.W. Fairchild Martindale Library (610-758-3057) or in the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CITL), EWFM room 370b (610-758-3059)

Allen Kingsbury – Media Production Specialist. Allen consults with faculty, students, and staff to determine appropriate media needs. He provides support and instruction to classes in photography, video editing, recording, digitizing, and media streaming. Allen is our resident expert on Final Cut Pro X. He also coordinates LTS’s video collection feature film streaming in Ensemble and is the primary support for digital signage on campus. He can be found in the Digital Media Studio E.W.
