On Friday, August 9, 2019 at 5 p.m., the Common server storage space (also known as the departmental l: and Banner J: drive) will be unavailable while LTS migrates this storage space to a virtual server for increased reliability and faster performance. No changes are needed after the migration.
What you need to know
- Files on the I: and J: drives and other drive mappings to this server, access to Desktop Finance, and functions which require access to Oracle databases will be unavailable until the estimated completion time of 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 10.
- To safeguard your files, close any applications that use files on these drives before 5 p.m. because all open files such as databases will be force-closed at 5 p.m.
- Shadow copy backup files on the new system will only be available for files that have been changed or deleted after 12 p.m. Saturday. If you need files recovered that are not in shadow copy, contact the LTS Help Desk to get assistance with the recovery.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the LTS Help Desk (610-758-4357 or helpdesk@lehigh.edu).
