On Friday, January 4, 2019 at 5 p.m., Library and Technology Services (LTS) will migrate files from all users’ personal home storage space (referred to as the H: drive) to a new file server, which will provide increased reliability and greater capacity for the campus community. This migration requires no action on your part.
What you need to know
- Files in this space will be unavailable until the estimated completion time of 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 5.
- LUapps will also be unavailable for use during the migration period, since most or all of the applications rely on access to users’ personal home storage space.
- Shadow copy backup files created before 5 p.m. on Friday will not be available after the migration. However, shadow copy backup files will be created from activity that occurs on the new server beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday. If you need files recovered that are not in shadow copy (those prior to 4 p.m. Friday), contact the LTS Help Desk to get assistance with the recovery.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the LTS Help Desk (610-758-4357 or email@example.com).
