A Community of Reflection: Information Literacy Research and Scholarship
Wednesday, May 13, 2020
9 AM - 3 PM
Muhlenberg College
Allentown, PA
This event will bring together faculty, librarians, and other educators invested in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) related to information literacy.
“SoTL differs from scholarly and reflective teaching in that it not only involves questioning one’s teaching or a teaching strategy, but also formally gathering and exploring evidence, researching the literature, refining and testing practices, and finally going public.” (Bishop-Clark and Dietz-Uhler, 2012)
This event will provide space for sharing the inquiry, research, and evaluation that takes place in pursuit of the development of student information literacy skills and the understanding of information literacy instruction.
