The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) will once again host a Winter Workshop to be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020. We invite faculty to come learn about key instructional tools and approaches, and warm up their teaching skills for the spring semester. Session topics include:
- Essential instructional technologies, creating data projects and multimedia assignments, and how VR/AR can increase student engagement
- New ways to approach your teaching including Design Thinking and the Growth Mindset in Student Writing
- And the Matrix Game. John McKnight and David Runyon of Harrisburg University will explain the use of Matrix games in the classroom and then lead a play session with attendees.
We’ll end the day with a tour of CITL learning spaces including the DIY Video Recording Studio, the Digital Media Studio, and the Visualization Lab.
Date: Thursday, January 9, 2020
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
