Wayne Mery, Senior Analyst, Technology Infrastructure & Operations, has been elected to a fifth term on the Thunderbird Council, which manages the operations and development of the open source Thunderbird email client. The council manages $1.5 million of annual funds to support the product and community known as the Thunderbird Project, under the umbrella of the Mozilla Foundation. Wayne served as Secretary of the Council for the previous term, and is elected to Secretary again for the current term.
Jim Monek, Director, Technology Infrastructure & Operations, served as a reviewer contributor for ITIL Foundation: ITIL v4 Edition. ITIL 4 provides the guidance organizations need to address new service management challenges and utilize the potential of modern technology.
Brian Posivak, Network Technician, attended the Global Knowledge class CIPTV2: Implementing Cisco IP Telephony & Video, Part 2. In February, Brian was one of 10 subject matter experts selected from an international pool to sit on the BICSI Job Task and Analysis study to update/reorganize the newest edition of the Information Technology Systems Installation Methods Manual. BICSI is a global professional association supporting the advancement of the information and communications technology (ICT) community, and the manual Brian worked on is a global industry reference for the common installation practices of copper and optical fiber.
