Microsoft recently released its new operating system, Windows 10. Lehigh is not upgrading University-owned computers to Windows 10 at this time, but is testing it on a limited number of computers.
Students, faculty and staff have several options for upgrading their personal computers.
--Anyone currently running Windows 7 or Windows 8 on a personal computer may be eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10 Home from Microsoft. The upgrade is free until July 29, 2016 and is available as a Windows update. Information about Windows 10 and how to obtain the free upgrade is available at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/features.
--Students have the option of obtaining one free Windows 10 Education upgrade through Lehigh’s new Kivuto web store at https://lehigh.onthehub.com/.
--Faculty and staff have the option of purchasing one Windows 10 Education upgrade for work-at-home use. The cost is $9.75 through Lehigh’s new Kivuto web store at https://lehigh.onthehub.com/.

-- Although Windows software has been available in the past for purchase at the Bookstore on DVD, the Windows 10 upgrade is only available as a download through the websites above.
