The Lehigh Libraries are excited to announce a new rapid book fulfillment service available to Lehigh University faculty. Express Purchase is a service within ILLiad that facilitates the purchase of books for the library print book collection. Faculty are invited to participate in this pilot program during the 2016 calendar year.
The intent of this pilot program is to allow faculty to suggest purchases for print books that are needed for long term use by the requestor and where standard interlibrary loan use is insufficient. A subject librarian will review requests to make sure the book is within the library’s collection development profile. For example, textbooks generally do not fall within those guidelines.
Please submit requests for books you feel are appropriate for the library's permanent collection. The majority of requests are filled within five business days. We ask that faculty requestors limit their requests to five titles per month in order for us to serve all requestors equally.
Your feedback about this service is valuable to us! Please fill out the feedback form if you would like to make a comment about this service.
Please contact the Acquisitions department via email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
