Scott Rutzmoser, Senior Geospatial Specialist, is supporting the College of Education’s Al Bodzin and his team’s National Science Foundation (NSF) funded research. This project is part of the NSF’s Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST) program. The goal of the project is to develop, implement, and study the effectiveness of an innovative, flexibly adaptable Web-based Earth and Environmental Science curriculum that focuses on promoting geospatial thinking and reasoning with novel visualization and analysis tools.
Scott is helping to develop the graphic user interface, innovative techniques for collecting geospatial data and custom tools for geospatial visualization. The work on this project will continue through 2018.
