Bill Bettermann, Manager & Senior Computing Consultant, Arts & Sciences Team, and Cristina Koorie, Computing Consultant, Arts & Sciences Team, presented the session "Get Started at the Institution: the Collaboration and Technology to Deliver Web Resources to New Employees" at the 2017 SIGUCCS National Conference in Seattle on October 4, 2017.

Jarret Brown, Media Production Specialist, completed the "Copyright for Multimedia" course through Duke University, Emory University, and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, September, 2017.

Tony Casamassa, Systems Analyst, received VMware Certified Professional 5 – Data Center Virtualization certification in September, 2014, and VMware Certified Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization certification in September 2016.

Adam Derrick, Computing Consultant, received the following certifications: Apple Certified Mac Technician 2016, July 2017, Apple Certified Mac Technician 2017, July 2017, Apple Service Fundamentals, June 2017, CompTIA A+ 220-901 / 220-902, October 2017, Dell Certified Self Dispatch for Desktop Systems, June 2017, Dell Certified Self Dispatch for Notebook Systems, June 2017, Lenovo Warranty Basics for Technicians Certification, June 2017, Lenovo Desktop Systems Service Certification, June 2017, and Servicing HP Commercial Desktops, Workstations, and Notebooks Certification, June 2017.

Tim Foley, Chief Information Officer, received the 2017 SIGUCCS Penny Crane Award for Distinguished Service at its annual conference in Seattle, October 3, 2017.

Gale Fritsche, Assistant Director, Computing and Distributed Support Services and Bill Bettermann, Manager & Senior Computing Consultant, Arts & Sciences Team, presented the session "Enhancing the Performance of Cross Functional Teams" at the 2017 SIGUCCS National Conference in Seattle on October 2, 2017.

Keith Hartranft, Chief Information Security Officer, received the ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification in June, 2017 and the ISACA Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification in October, 2017.

Dan Huang, Acquisitions Librarian, published an article in the Journal of Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery & Electronic Reserve, Flipped Interlibrary Loan (F.I.L.L.): Putting Interlibrary Loan in the Driver's Seat of Acquisitions, December, 2016.

Lisa McColl, Cataloging and Metadata Librarian, gave a presentation entitled "Ebook Management" at the Pennsylvania Library Association Annual Conference in Pittsburgh - Green Tree on October 16, 2017.

Patrick Murphy, Lead Network Technician, completed the Management Certificate program at Northampton Community College.

Brian Posivak, Network Technician, received BICSI 350:Technician (Building Industry Consulting Service International) certification in October, 2016 and Cloud Computing certification from CloudU in April, 2017.

Sharon Wiles-Young, Director, Library Access, will speak about leadership in the FOLIO open source library project on October 23, 2017 at the Library of Congress.
