Friends of the Libraries speaker series,Thursday, November 2, 4:10 pm, Scheler Humanities Forum (Linderman 200)
Presented by Haiyan Jia, Lehigh assistant professor of journalism and communication.
Interactive media, which includes social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, as well as technologies like virtual reality and robots, supplies an increasing share of the news and information we consume. While promising exciting and potentially enriching options for news sources, the ubiquity of interactive media threatens to overwhelm consumers. In her talk, Professor Jia will help us to understand and navigate this new way of obtaining news and information.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Sponsored by The Friends of the Lehigh University Libraries. This is a 5x10 event.
