What do cake, books, and tic-tac-toe have in common?

You can enjoy all three in Linderman Library! The Lehigh Libraries recently freshened up the leisure collection by adding many new books. Please join us in celebrating the “new” leisure collection by participating in a game of tic-tac-toe and attending a kickoff party. Cake and refreshments will be served on Tuesday, November 18th at 4:10 PM in the Linderman Reading Room. To play along, pick up a tic-tac-toe board at the Linderman circulation desk prior to November 18th. Read your choice of books from the leisure collection to fill in one row of boxes on the game board. Return your completed form to the circulation desk. Your form will be entered into a random drawing that will take place at the kick-off party.

Reading is a good way to relax and unwind. Leisure reading may also help students achieve higher grades because, as with any skill, the more you read, the better you get at it. For those reasons, the Libraries maintains a leisure reading collection. Now located in the East Wing of the Linderman Reading Room, the Leisure Collection includes books on a variety of topics that range from comics to cookbooks. The collection contains non-fiction, mystery novels, thrillers, and biographies. There is even a new collection of graphic novels.
