LVAIC Information Literacy Symposium: Structures of Power in Information
Wednesday, May 23, 2018
The 2nd annual LVAIC Information Literacy Symposium will be held on May 23, 2018 from 9:30am to 4:00pm at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. This LVAIC-sponsored event will bring together our LVAIC community -- faculty, librarians, and other educators invested in information and the structures of power therein.
Planned sessions from librarians and faculty in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities will focus on student perspectives, integrating discussions about information and knowledge into teaching, open educational resources, examining the role of large technology companies in information consumption and creation, and more.
Join us for presentations, workshops, and panel discussions to explore successes and challenges in information literacy teaching and learning and inspire intercampus dialog about our future information literacy teaching practices.
