Save the Date! The 2022 Symposium on Teaching and Learning will be held on Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7.

We hope you’ll join us as we restart this event, organized annually by the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, after a two-year hiatus.

This year, the Symposium will highlight brief presentations from instructors about how their approaches to teaching have changed over the past two years, with a focus on innovative approaches they plan to carry into the future.

  • The session on April 6 will be held in person in Fairchild-Martindale Library, from 1:45 PM - 4PM
  • The morning session on April 7 will be fully remote, on Zoom, from 9:45 AM - Noon
  • The afternoon session on April 7th will be a faculty panel discussion on interdisciplinary teaching innovations, co-sponsored by CITL and the Mellon Humanities Lab, and hosted in the Lehigh University Main Art Gallery in Zoellner Arts Center at 3PM

Presentations will be in a ‘lightning round’ format, with a series of brief 8-10 minute presentations.

Interested in presenting? Submit a proposal. Proposals are due by Friday, March 11th.

To round out the week, on April 8 CITL will be holding the first of two faculty writing workshops, Writing Instruction in the Disciplines at Lehigh: How Important is it? And How Well Are We Doing?, with the second session on April 29, Writing Instruction and the Broader Educational Experience of Lehigh Students. Each of these workshops will be held in the CITL Commons and run from 12:10 PM - 1:30 PM.
